Easy DIY Moss Pole Tutorial for Plant Beginners

Easy and quick moss poles for climbing plants! Moss Pole to provide extra support for any climbing plant, especially aroids like Philodendron and Monstera species. I like to DIY my own sphagnum moss poles because I can customize the size and width for my plants!

Here are the DIY Moss Pole Materials:

Instructions:

  1. Wet the sphagnum moss and squeeze out any excess water.

  2. Cut the bamboo stick to the desired length

  3. Using the twine, tie a knot around the bamboo stick

  4. Wrap the damp moss around the stick and use the twine to hold it in place

  5. Repeat Step 4 until everything is secure!

  6. Tie a final knot.

  7. Place your moss pole in the pot and secure the plant with the tape/ ties
